A delicate cutter sailboat bobs placidly in this miniature nautical watercolor painting by Em Campbell from her Spring 2020 series “Smugglers.” This treasure is truly unique in more ways than one. “Small Hope on the Great Lake” tells the forgotten story of a Native American girl smuggled to a new life with Protestant settlers and missionaries. Hope must now choose between a life she knew, and a God she has just been introduced to. The tiny painting is preserved in an antique solid brass frame that used to be plated in gold, but now holds onto just flecks of that original sparkle. (Estimated to be over 100 years old)

The watercolor painting measures 2in across framed. PLEASE NOTE: The frame is antique, and thus shows signs of its age such as nicks, scratches, and a lovely patina. There is a very small chip in the glass in one corner. See all photos for details.

You will receive this miniature painting with its antique frame AND an accompanying fictional short story written by the artist. Please allow extra time for carefully tracked shipment (up to two weeks), thank you!
